San Jacinto Real Estate
San Jacinto California Real Estate is nestled in the foot hills of the San Jacinto Mountains just north of Hemet. The City of San Jacinto offers the feel of a small town with access to amenities associated with larger communities.
San Jacinto Real Estate has its roots deep in California history. Rich in streams and springs, the Serrano and Cahuilla Native Americans made the area home. In the 1800s it became the unofficial headquarters of the cattle ranch created by Mission San Luis Rey. When, in 1834, the area passed from Spanish to Mexican rule, much of the land was granted, in large tracts, to individuals. In 1848, the area became part of the United States.
Gradually, much of the area developed as rich farming land, with fruit orchards, row crops and even potatoes. Along with Hemet, San Jacinto Real Estate benefited tremendously from the arrival of the Santa Fe rail road in 1888. Produce could be sent to Riverside and the greater Los Angeles area; people could come to the growing town from the east.
And come they did. Many made San Jacinto a destination in order to partake of the natural hot springs along the east side of town. The area still offers spas and wonderful golf courses have been added to the mix.
San Jacinto Homes range from quaint cottages dating back to the 1900s to elegant homes with golf course access. There are also planned communities, mini-estates with room for horses and a few working ranches.
With its rich multi-cultural heritage, and key location, San Jacinto Real Estate has become a dynamic, growth oriented community.
Home of Mt. San Jacinto College, and the famed Ramona Pageant, San Jacinto offers education and culture. It is also well known for a wide variety of recreational opportunities, from city parks to the Valley-Wide Regional Park which includes a 22,000-square-foot sports center as well as facilities for water oriented sports. The area also appeals to golf enthusiasts and provides easy access to both the desert communities near Palm Springs and the mountain resorts of Idyllwild.
With easy access to Temecula and San Diego to the south, and Riverside and the Greater Los Angeles to the north, San Jacinto is a land of opportunity. Part of Southern Riverside County's explosive growth, San Jacinto real estate is the stuff dreams are made of.
